Sports medicine

Provides trainees with a scientific basis for the practice of sports medicine. To promote understanding of current evidence-based practices in sports medicine to inform participants of practical issues relevant to the practice of sports medicine.

· Understanding the predisposition to acute and chronic injuries, the causes of injuries and the consequences of injuries.

· Understanding of medical, moral, ethical and legal issues related to the care of elite athletes

Nutrition

The course will train and equip health professionals and those working in the field of sports nutrition to advise and support athletes in making the best choices regarding effective medications and healthy diets to help them improve athletic performance.

Training and Conditioning
